Chris Fink is an L.A. based cartoonist whose latest graphic novel was inked, lettered, and colored during the first year after his brain surgery for glioblastoma, and as of this writing is still alive, three years later (a statistical anomaly). He’s spent a life in graphics and writing, from the screenplay for Ferngully II to an educational comic series, StudyLaB, to work with UCLA’s CRESST, a leading research center. His lifelong comics project, Leopold and Brink, began as a dissertation topic: “An Ecofeminist Redaction of Hegel’s Philosophy of History” and it’s as exciting as it sounds.
