Spice up your favorite characters and sashay on stage for Des Moine Con’s 18+ costume contest! Whether you’re a seasoned cosplayer or gearing up to unleash your main character energy for the first time, hit the stage and let your freak flag fly for the coveted title of Shimmy in the Tank champ. We won’t be checking your seams, but we will be watching how you work the stage! Walk, pose, dance, display a talent, or even bribe the judges! THE FINE PRINT
- Contestants are given 1 minute to walk the catwalk or stage. You may use this minute to walk, pose, dance, display a talent, even bribe the judges!
- You do not need to pre-register for this contest. Line up at the 40 contestants will be allowed to compete.
- Categories Are: Best Costume, Best Walk, Judge’s Choice
- You may remove clothing items; however, no nudity is allowed.
- Pairs and groups up to four are allowed to compete
- No pre-judging is required. Costumes may be bought, handmade or a mix of both.
- All costumes and props must adhere to Des Moines Con’s Anti-Harassment and Cosplay & Costume Weapons Policies. Any costumes that violate will not be considered in any capacity.
